Introduction of a jewellery designer and silversmith

How do you describe the feeling when you are just passionately grabbed by something? At least it happened to me when I went with a friend to Denmark for a silversmithing course one weekend. I haven't experienced being so engulfed by anything and having the feeling that my head can't do this yet, but my hands can. And to be able to sit for hours and be so concentrated on what you do that nothing else exists. For me it is an incredible feeling of freedom. Being able to be in the bubble and actually create things that other people think is beautiful.
In this way, the silver has helped to strengthen my self-esteem, as I feel that I am doing something for which I have a tendency for. I somehow know when the shapes work. And it certainly does not always, but when that feeling comes, it is great!!!
In recent years I have been an apprentice to silversmith Owe Johansson, or Owe Silver artist as he also calls himself and during this time I have also beeing a student at Leksads Folkhögskola. During this I time have developed the passion for silver as a material.
